Club Information
The Danson & District Amateur Camera Club was formed several years ago and meets every Thursday night from 7.00pm-10.00pm at Westbrooke School, South Gipsy Road, Welling, Kent, DA16 1JBThe School is a small primary school operated by Bexley Council for children with additional needs. The camera club donates money to the school from its membership funds, raising approximately £500 every year, which the school spends on equipment for the children.
There are currently 36 members in the club, ranging from beginners to experienced photographers, both male and female, of all ages, who have an enthusiastic interest in photography.
The club covers a wide range of photographic interests including wildlife, macro, architecture, still life, landscape and portraiture.
Club nights on Thursday evenings include still life photography, photo shows, and studio nights with amateur models, Photoshop tuition, friendly competitions and social evenings.
Club trips are arranged on a regular basis throughout the year, covering London and the South East of England.
The club has studio lighting, digital and slide projectors, a computer and various other items of photographic equipment for its members to use.
